Am looking for information on percussion rifle made by H. Ledford, The stock is tiger maple heavily inlaid with silver. thanks bob Dewar rdewar@cfl.rr.com

Hello Bob.  Ledford was a prolific North Carolina maker.  Michael Briggs will hopefully see this post - he would be the one to ask.

In the meantime there are some examples of Ledford's work, as well as a good bit of information, in the "Virtual Museum" on this website.

Bob - if you are new to this site, you will find some nice surprises in the Virtual Museum.  Look under the "Southern Long Arms" section and you will find examples of some other North Carolina makers as well as Ledford, with some additional information by Mr. Briggs.

 Bob,
Henry Ledford (1796-1856) worked in Davidson County, NC. He was a prolific maker who made both plain and fancy rifles, from the flintlock era into the percussion era. 
If you could post pictures of the referenced rifle, that would be nice.
