Mike,
I've always thought you did a great job aging rifles but the one on the blog this morning is outstanding. Nice touch with the librty on the top of the butt stock. The overall look is really believable aging to me.

Thanks Ken, It was a fun gun to build. I built it for Dan Pharris's personal enjoyment, I know how much he likes this type of gun.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Very nice Mike. Lots of nice little touches. The one that got me was the shortened trigger guard, I like that, it's a good expression of what the gun is supposed to be. It has a good feel to it, keep up the good work.

I looks to be one of those fun kind of builds where you had some artistic license. Turned out great.
