Hit the lottery

Had a piece of wood chip out on a gun last Friday....just a tiny piece, little bigger than a grain of rice.  As I have two inches of sawdust and wood chips on the floor in front of my bench (needle in a hay stack), I didn't bother looking for it and figured I would just fix it later. Well today was later. I grabbed a handfull of shavings to see if there was something I could make fit......Fifth piece I pulled out was my chip!
One chance in 10,000!!!!! I'm having a great day!

I KNOW IT! If i would have been betting on it, I would have swore that it was still on the bench some place. Stained it , glued it in place and went and poured myself a Gin and Tonic...called it day! It can only go down hill from there!

Imagine that, you picked up a splinter of wood, and found a stock to match.   Sounds like a blind pig found an acorn. congrats.  Some people have all the luck.  I would of had a handful of shavings

 I am affraid to admit how many times I have been on hands and knees looking for "the " chip. Good going!!

I am just grateful to know that I am not the only one to have to engage in this kind of "on your knees" activity!!!  Oh and did I say praying to find it???
