I'll usually clean the lock about every second or third time when I am shooting pretty regularly. If I haven't made it up to the woods in a couple of weeks I'll go ahead and take it out and give it a look. Barrel is cleaned with a feather in the vent. It is a much better seal than a toothpick.
I can hardly wait for 70 degree weather. We usually get that about the 23 of December. Yesterday the humidity was 99 with a "heat index" of 117. I guess someone thought up that heat index thing because it just wasn't miserable enough for them.
