Ball Grip Neck Knife
« on: July 06, 2010, 06:01:19 PM »
Just finished this one. 4 1/2" half tang blade of 01 steel. Walnut one piece grip with deer raw hide wrap, secured with a baseball stitch of raw hide lace, and two steel cross pins underneath. The sheath is walnut dyed brain tanned deer over vege-tan leather. The brain tan cover is glued on and sewn with linen thread and "old time German" chalk white beads. All very lightly aged. Total weight of the set is a comfortable 3 1/2 oz. Hope you enjoy a look.

Nice job. I like the rawhide wrap. Gives it the old timey look.
