Ageing wool baize

Hi,
I want to make a period correct handgun case but I would like it to look old.
I'm looking for some advises as how to turn new wool baize fabric into very old and worn wool baize fabric.

For closeups of what an original looks like with "real" wear and tear on it:

Scroll down and there are 3 boxed sets with several images including the box and you can then zoom in to get a much larger image to see the detail.
Then imitate what you see using the suggested methods and others as needed
