Sorry Dale, I was more concerned about the corkscrew and number of spectacles Bonewitz had. The number of books was also a puzzle until last year when I found an old record that showed Bonewitz as a major player in the first public school established in Womelsdorf in 1800. Apparently he was on the initial board of directors which might provide the reason for so many foreign books.
I'm currently reviewing the new info I have uncovered since the article was presented at the '04 ASAC meeting in Louisville. Contact me directly should you wish to become a Bonewitz student. I'll warn you before hand, however, I've been know to talk about Bonewitz for 2 1/2 days straight. Glad your looking deeper than the average reviewer. No telling what other info can come from your efforts so I encourage you to continue.
Regards, HIB
