Certainly a fantastic opportunity to see these 3 great rifles side by side.
As Jim pointed out, there certainly also is some relation between Thomas Simpson and Jacob Young. If any of you have the July issue of the CLA journal, study the photos Mansker-Simpson rifle and Jud Brennan's copy of it as well - it reinforces this.
They are both enigmas - certainly some of the most accomplished gunsmiths of their day, but we know so little about them compared to the eastern gunmakers who stayed put longer.
