New Neck Knife
«
on:

Been too busy lately, so decided to take a break from the regular grind, and make something for the fun of it. 4" blade of 01 tool steel, sterling silver ferrule, and a spike deer antler that I carved a face into. Hope you enjoy a look.

Hi Wick,
Very cool! I really like this size of knife - whether on the neck or on a bag. And, as you say, it's good to do something just for fun. My complements.

Very nice in every way. Love the shade of the antler and you very creative file work. Have done similer things to some of mine but they didnt turn out near as nice. Again, very nice. Gary

LOVE the file work on the back of the blade. The silver guard is a nice touch. Really like the face on the butt.
The thing I notice the most is the length of the grip. It looks like a grip made for someone with a good sized hand and/or a grip long enough to really control the blade. On some smaller blade knives, it seems there is a tendency to make the grip too short and yours is not like that.
Great little knife.

Wonderfully designed and superbly executed! The overall proportion, filework, carving and fit and finish are just to my liking. The owner will sure be proud of that one.
Top notch Wick!

Wick, thank you for putting a bit of your soul and artistry into it. I'll cherish it not only because it's a fine piece but also because a fine gentleman crafted it. We missed you at the CLA show.

Obviously made by a man who knows how to use a knife as well as he knows how to make one. Superb!

Wick, I would have said what David G said, almost word for word, had he not said it first!
He's a lucky man, great work!
