Another first for the ALR Museum: In an effort to identify the origin and maker of the first gun (displayed) offered to the Museum, the Committee has located a "similar unknown maker" Southern gun for study purposes. Neither gun can be attributed but they are instructively compared by Committee members. Your comments and attributions are welcome as well. Please reply and add your information.

No wonder I did not see anything "Southern" about those two rifles.

The 2nd gun has some similarities to Alexander Applebay gun pictured on page 114 West Virginia Gunsmiths Third Edition, by Whisker.
