Pistol Loading Stand

I'm looking for some ideas for a pistol loading stand.  I was hoping some of you might be able to post a picture or two of what you are using.  
At the last shoot I went to I remember a couple of the guys having some pretty nice stands for loading.  Not being a pistol shooter I really didn't pay much attention.  I'm building a pistol for my Dad who is not a BP shooter but loves to shoot pistols.  I figure a loading stand would make the experience a little more palletable for him.

The stand I use for my T/C Patriot and my Kentucky flint pistol has progressed, I'm afraid, from reasonably good looking to grubby and utilitarian:




The useful features I put in are a tray with 10 indentations for bullets so I don't lose count during a match, and a slot for the loading rod.   Also, I've added more of a lip to keep the butt of the pistol from 'kicking out' of the stand when the loading rod is exerting pressure.  Depending on how tight a patch/ball load you anticipate loading,  and the geometry of the gun behind the lock, around the curve down to the butt, you might consider providing  some support to keep the loading force from being concentrated at the stock's curve.  ( I've heard of T/C Patriots developing cracked stocks due to loading stress. )

I see you have a Lightning also.   Here is what I and the wife use. We use four different pistols
on this one stand. There is enough powder and ball for 300 shots.

Are you using a Lee powder measure with black powder??

Yes I am. I shoot at Friendship and they said it was safe and OK on the range.

That loader set up is NICE.  Now I'm embarassed by the simple set up I use.

Guys,
I finally got around to making a loading stand for that pistol I made my Dad for Christmas.  I know it's been a while but better late than never.   The U-bolt thing lifts up to make a handy handle for carrying.

Very nice.  That actually looks like something I could do, although mine won't look as good .  I'm going to copy it, if that's OK; my pistol only gets shot rarely because I don't have a stand and never had time to figure one out.

You are welcome to copy.  I found something like it on the internet and made a few chnages to fit the "use what you have" requirement.

Nice looking loading stands.  I should make one for my pistols, and I might. 

I normally don't shoot a pistol very often, only at Rendezvous and occasionally at our local club shoot.  A loading stand would be a handy thing to have/use.
