My compliments to Henry Bishop for putting this display together. It showed guns from basically the area from Lebanon
to Harrisburg, this area takes in a lot of super gun builders. Since I am now working on a Beck rifle, I spent a lot of time
studying the super Beck in the display. It was a rather fine, delicate gun, with an ocatagon to round barrel, breech under
an inch, unlike what we normally think of a Beck rifle as we look at pictures of them. When we study picture of Beck rifles
I always get the feeling that they are a rather robust, big gun, bold carving, etc.....not so. It was so good to be able to
study one close up.....now, if I could only duplicate some of that carving???............Don
