Has anyone ever seen a patchbox like a Verner, but made of wood instead of Brass?
Just curious

What, you mean like a sliding wood lid with a brass surround? Not on an old gun, but I have seen several modern gunmakers do it. It DOES look neat, but is definitely not historical on an American rifle.
