Treasure Found!
« on: September 27, 2010, 11:57:54 PM »
So, as you can imagine I'm packing for "The Big Move". :P Found a pair of 10"  swamped .60 pistol barrels by Paris! Just like Christmas! ;D I wonder what else I'll stumble across? ;)

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Mike,
Moves are great.  When I moved into my new shop earlier this year after spending 24 years in my basement I found lots of items I did not remember having.  Unfortunately, most of my finds needed to go to the dump.  Congratulations on your find.  May you discover more treasures.

Mike, what a great find. I know that there are a few things that I hope to locate when we move in the not to distant future. My son now 17 was only 2.5 yrs old when he toddled out of my shop with a pair of set triggers in each hand. He would climb up the stool to my work bench and Help me at times. I told him to go put them back which he did but I have never found them. Maybe over the next month of packing I will.

My dad died in '90. Yesterday my mom had a heat pump installed and in a closet between the wall and the old ductwork the installer found two of my dad's pistols that had fell down in that space from the closet. I remember them from my childhood and can't wait to pick them up today.   :o

Now that is one handsome pistol!  If you'd leave me in your will, I'd force myself to give it a good home.  ;D  Thanks for sharing.  Cheers, Bookie
