 regardless of all of that.......  I think you bought a Beaut of a rifle, very nicely built & carved. I hope you get many years of good use from it.

That color of stain on that rifle looks like what's on my friend's custom rifle is that called beechnut?

No it was a combination of LMF's Nut Brown and Honey Maple.
