I just read the posting from Jan.25/2010. My that is one handsome target rifle.
Reminded me of an article I read yers ago and I think it was in Muzzle Blast mag. about Mr. Belknap
He reportedly  built a side by side 12.ga on the left and a target barrel on the right and would take on all comers in a target match for money. Now being the tallented gunbuilder that he was he applied engraved silver plates on each side of the tang behind the breeches to protect the wood from cap flash etc..   Now the clever part was that he put a telescope sight in the left 12 ga barrel and when he cocked the right side target barrel a snall circle in the silver plate behind the 12 ga barrel would tip down allowing him to sight with the scope sight in the left barrel.
He reportedly won a fair bit of money untill his scam was discovered .
Now please take this with a grain of salt but thats what I read many years ago in muzzls Blast.
Cheers   Bob
