Fowler that was found in a wall
« on: October 15, 2021, 05:26:31 PM »
https://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=64650.0

This is a follow up to a post I made last March on a 1775 dated fowler found in a wall.
I had a chance to visit this gun again to get more precise measurements and get detail photos' of  interesting details.
This being an untouched "attic condition"  gun it a great example of the type of aged well cared for gun many of us try to emulate (thinking of Eric K here) so I focused this visit on the wear and "grunge" on this beauty.

It appears the new photo files are too big to upload. Anybody want to explain  how to shrink file sizes?

Kevin

If using a laptop and you have an app that handles photos there should be a resize option. If on your phone you should have an edit function where, at a minimum, you can crop the image.

Wow. Great looking piece of history
Nothing beats the feel of a handmade southern iron mounted flintlock on a cold frosty morning
