Hi Al. Nice to hear from you. I bought some quite thick walled brass tubeing . Cut off a section the chosen length. On the lathe I made a tube and bored a hole in it and threaded the iutside and cut it off in 3/8th lengths/. Silver soldered them onto thinner sheet brass cut out juat a tad bigger than the tubeing. Drill out the hile after the threadded patt was soldered Tin and soft sioder that to one end of the tube Cut a piecefor the bottom and wrap the top th some heat sinc stuff that I have and soft soldes the botton on. Trim the exsess with shears and polish the bit thats left on a disc sander.. I turn up the cap on my lathe , bore it to tap drill size and tap the threads with a hand tap then solder in a piece for the dipper and flatten the end on a small anvil. add a cork washer and Bob's yer Uncle.
Take care and bless. Bob
