Skychief,

You'll have to wait a bit for me to get done with mine! I get paid in two Fridays, and then it's ordering time. I am looking forward to putting it together once I'm out of this God foresaken piece of real estate!

I bought the book Flintlock Fowlers, and everyone says it's fantastic.

It's waiting for me at home too...

 Best Regards,

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

If you are interested in photos of original English and European stuff, search for firearms sales on auction sites such as Bonhams, Christies, Thomas Del Mar etc.  With a little persistance you will find a lot of good stuff.

I would second Jim on looking at originals. In person if possible and by photo as a second choice. No matter what kind or style you choose, go to the source if you can.
