As usual we had a 2 day rondy 2nd weekend in Feb at Sheshequin ML club V cold Sat and just cold on Sunday with heavy snow squalls at times. Actually not too windy prior to and after said blustery snow....
Young Josh Petris shot a 50 XXXX on the Haeffner 'running' fox offhand at 50 yds with his flinter and went head hunting all 5 shots in the head. Best part was he very calmly walked up to the clubhouse for a snack rather than making a fuss about his fine target. (No spotting scopes allowed there) Humble for sure no bragging and a good 19 something yr old kid. His old man is no slouch either.
The hundred yd re entry was a deer head shot your choice offhand or stix. Of course I went for the stixs and managed only a 3rd place with a 42. Point is I got beat by 2 (younger) guys that shot OFFHAND, A 43 and a 44......
