Opening day

 Tomorrow is the opening day of muzzle loading season in PA! Hopefully I will be able to take my first deer with a flintlock. Tim

well I did not christen my new rifle this early ML season. It poured down rain this oast Sat. and I still went out. Had a lot of fun.

One of the neat things about hunting with a traditional ML is that any deer is a trophy.

Right now all we have is an early squirrel season here in the NW region of Florida.  While hunting a spring
run in a pretty stiff breeze, I heard something behind me and turned to see 3 8pt bucks standing within 30 yds.  They stopped when they hit my scent and seemed to be testing the air to determine where the danger was.  I guess they must have known that deer season wasn't open yet.  I did get 4 squirrels.
