Would a nice piece of cherry make a good Berks fowler stock, or is maple "right"? Thank you, James

James,

A couple of years ago I was blessed to hold and look over an original Bonewitz stocked in cherry.  There wasn't a lot of figure to the wood but his carving was awesome!  I'm putting together an early Reading which Cherry is being used.  But you can never fail with a really good piece of Maple also.
