Banded Horn W/Pewter/Antler Tip
« on: March 02, 2011, 09:36:52 PM »

This one is about 13 1/4” around the outside curve. The Walnut base is hollowed out and held in buy the same four pins that hold the base band on, The other two bands are held with three steel pin each. The antler tip is pinned to the pewter collar with three steel pins and then the collar is pinned to the horn with three more.

Yep, very nice one Tim.  I like the antler/pewter applied tip; very attractive over all.

Nice horn Tim. I tried your method of turning the pewter band and used it to repair a cracked tip. It worked well. Good "tip". :D :D
