Really nice.  Do the trays lift out?  The other question is the handle attachment.  is it one long piece of steel rod or is it two joined in the middle of the handle?

Is that kind of handle on this kind of box your idea, or did you see it somewhere? I've made a lot of sliding lid boxes and never thought to do something like this. Pretty cool!

The handle was my idea. It is two pieces of rod filed to a smaller diameter in the middle where the wood is. It threads together there and keeps the wood from sliding back and forth. This is riveted threw the box on each end with brass rivets. Trays just set on small strips of wood, so they can be removed or slid to one side: if the opposite tray is lifted
