I'm guessing the owner will be carrying it at the CLA in August. If you guys are there take a look at it in person. I'm glad you all like it so well. I was looking forward to building it as soon as I saw the piece of wood, that and I had free license to do what ever I wanted!

Charlie Burton, FCI Barrels says that I can hang it in the display rack in his booth at CLA Lexington. Look for it there. Feel free to pick it up and play with it, just be sure to put it back!!

Pretty much a "Brooksism". The carving behind the cheek piece was based on a earlyish gun from WV. Much of the rest of it is from various early virginia rifles. Some of it is pure whimsy. This one sort of came from the soul over all. Generally happens when I'm given a bunch of parts and told to do what ever I want, with out restriction.

I think I have pretty much my own style, but can stay inside the period and area I'm building...I hope. I don't know if anyone else can, but I can spot my guns from across the room at a gunshow....don't know if that's good or bad!

Finished 9th. Brought home a quart jar of Kentuckys best. 95 grains FFFG and a .575 round ball will ring the gong at 160 yards. That gun makes me look good
