I decided to post these together because they are made from the same horn. The section I used was formed and turned on one mandrel. I then split the section with a skew and turned each one round individually. The box is much thinner due to blood and air pockets in the horn so it is very very thin. You can still see bubbles in the horn but I could not go any thinner to get them out. These pics also show how many variations one horn can hold. The wood for the box has a subtle purple hue to it but I can not remember the name of it. Not sure what I will scrim on these but will post when finished. Today is wingbone turkey call day (6 of them) and will post pics of them soon.
