1800-1820 Powder horn signed J. Godfry?

Unsure of the signature because of the old english style letters but appears as
J. Godfry.  Only other engraving on the horn is a small feather.

Nice horn. IMHO a horn made by the user with a drawer pull and plate for rear strap attachment.  Very hard to date as this style was used over a very long period. Thanks for posting it.

Nice simple horn but elegant in it's simplicity.  Can you please post a couple of overall pictures of the horn and dimensions such as:

Inside curve length
outside curve length
diameter of throat
diameter of base
size of hole in tip

etc, etc.  All of this may help to better determine an origin and date.

Well I'm not familiar with what the throat is...but the horn is
9 1/8 inch on the outside curve, 7.5 on the inside curve, 2.5
across the base, end of spout is 1/2 inch and hole is just
under 3/8ths.  I showed it to 4 horn collectors at the Bedford show
and all of them put it between very late 1700s and 1820ish.
