For anyone who has used Rice's 46" Bwt. in .45 cal.( 5lb. 4oz.) ,what did that give you for the finished gun weight. I realize many factors can affect the weight, but I think the 46" .45 cal. Rice would make a fine Bucks Co. rifle.

I would take a wild guess and say your rifle will weigh right around eight pounds. My Kuntz rifle has a Rice B weight .40 cal and is 44" long. The rifle weighs 8 lb. 8 oz.

Presently working on the 3rd BC using Rice's "B" weight X 46" bbl but they've all been in .50 cal. Finsihed weight is slightly over 8 lbs. Surely do make a nicely balanced LR because of the "mild" swamp....Fred

The 46" Rice B50s are an ounce shy of 5 lbs. with the plug, and balance about 27" from the muzzle.
