Has anyone tested a properly hardened frizzen on a Rockwell, or other scale?
Thanks,

Hi Bill. Theres a great article written by Robert Mims and Fred Stutzenburger in the April/March edition of Muzzleloader Mag. on the subject of refaceing frizzens. I believe they mention rockwell hardness in there.

I've not checked Rockwell hardness, but I would suspect well hardened frizzens would be around 60-62 HRC.
