Nice looking axe Bart.  Is the head pinned thru the handle?  I'm seeing a little round spot near the bottom of the "V".  I split and wedged the handle on the one I put together.  Hadn't thought of pinning.  Should be very secure.  Thanks for showing it.

Yes,  pinned and wedged as well, I sell mainly to hunters that will use frequently, just adds a little more security.

That is a nice lookin axe.  And speaking from experience, Bart's axe's are capable of hard work and hold a good edge.

As the proud owner and user of one of Bart's axes, I'll stand tall for the quality of his workmanship and their utility.  They not only look great, they also take and hold a wonderful edge.  My bag axe is highly functional beyond the expectations of a small bag axe, and I'm certain this example will be the best in craftsmanship and function to go with the looks.  If I wasn't "axe poor" at the moment, I'd be asking about price too!

Hi Bart, I really like those little Meigs style hawks and the curly ash handle just does something for it. Earlier Jerry ask if that is one of the cast heads or was it one that you created and I don't think you answered him. If you are forging them, how much would one be. Hi Bart  well your package finally came in today and I am more then happy with your fine work you have done on the ax!!!!!!This we be my little work horse come this fall when its time to take care of the odds and ends of the game I shot this fall.  The ax fits like a glove and it is  a great piece of work!! I hope I can make up a shoulder sheath that will some way match your workmanship.
