Looks good, but I see two interesting things , the first is disgusting in that your bench is too clean, and neat.  The second is the hook in the butt used to hold the stock while finishing, super idea.  On second look I see why, you're one of those guys that are right minded ;D, a Southpaw.

That's obviously his display bench, not where he works!  Interesting colour!

I know that's going to look great when it's finished.  Nice carving and all too.  Thanks for sharing and thanks to the others on here for pointing out the good ideas.

The first time I used it I thought- Oh my God what have I done? But, once the other colors are added, it gives a real nice effect.

I have read about this and even thought about buying a bottle but I have got to see the next steps. That takes courage my friend! Please keep posting pictures of the process. Thanks, Bob

Courage might be an understatement. Please post again when you're a little further along so we can see how this process works.

I've done my last two guns with this orange.  I think they came out great.  One I sold and the buyer loved it.  The other one I will have for sale at Dixons if anyone wants to see it.  It will be on Dave Keck's table.

I will admit my wife gave me some strange looks when she saw the orange gun hanging in the laundry room to dry.

I didn't quite put it on as heavy as it looks in your picture.  Let it dry overnight.  I then steel wooled it back some and followed with two coats of Laurel Mt stain,  Lancaster Maple mixed with Nut Brown, about 50-50.  Finished with Chambers Oil.

I also tried one with orange followed by Danglers Walnut.  I liked the Laurel Mountain mixed satin better.
