There is nothing not to like about that rifle.   I particularly like the guard.    I think someone else said it is as good as it gets, and I agree.

beautiful...and you don't have to apologize for the percussion lock--at least not to me.  I grew up seeing southern mountain rifles still in use and invariably they were percussion, so my "ideal" of youth was a percussion long rifle.  Although my flinters outnumber my percussion arms now, I still have a soft spot for caplocks and still hunt with them on occasion.
