Van Tassel

Just found inside the patch box of my flint lock the name W E Van Tassel stamped in the wood. Is this the name of the builder? If so I would appreciate any info on this person. Thanks

Van Tassel's  were'nt they in the story of sleepy hollow and the headless horseman.
