The early muzzleloader season in Maryland began today and continues through Saturday, had a great start to it this morning. Had deer all over from before light until I shot this one at almost 8am, passed two smaller bucks waiting on him. One tine broke off at the main beam, but still very happy. Chip shot, 25 yards, but I like 'em close. I musta put some kind of special magic in this .54 Beck when I built it, because whitetails just seem to run to it. Three season of use, this is the third buck killed, along with two does, with it.
