Can anyone shed any light on where this rifle may have originated?

I have no clue on this one. Tang has been replaced and the rear trigger (lower part) has been silver soldered on. Will take a photo of the other side and post later.

To my eye it has a southern look with the style of lock pannels and the but stock but thats all I got.

The inlay over the cheek looks like the escutcheons and sideplates some Ohio and WV rifles have -- maybe a hardware piece re-purposed to add a little flash?  The rest, esp. the buttstock, doesn't look that far off for that area, either.  Just a guess.

Any signs of that the triggerguard was replaced?  It looks like it is from an earlier style rifle.  I have seen lockpanels and sideplates that looked like that,  on WV rifles.

No sign the guard was changed, only the tang looks replaced. I thought the rifle looked like a West VA style but wasn't sure. I will be putting it up for auction and wanted to see if anyone had a feel for the area it might have originated.
