firearms traps and tools of the mountain men

Anyone have a copy of this that they could look in and find a bit of info for me? I can't seem to find a copy in my bookcases don't know what I did with mine. Lent it it probably. If I recall correctly, in the blacksmith section there is a picture of guy working at the anvil forging a bear trap. I just want to know what or who this picture refers to.

Been a long time.  Good to see your post. 
On page 363 in chapter VII: "Irons in the Fire", The caption for Fig 100 reads; "Jedediah Smith's Blacksmiths Made a Bear Trap for Father Sanchez".
Hope this is what you were refering to.

That is it Dave thank you! Could remember the picture but not the caption. My memory is 100% perfect , when it is working.
