New use for Taylor's barrel lugs

Maybe it's not new to some, but I thought I was clever. ;D
Had a new trigger guard with the forward pin lug interferring with the end of the ramrod, if I used it as it was I would have had to cut the rammer about 1/2" short. So I took some .050" brass and folded it and soldered it like Taylor's barrel lugs, only larger to match the existing guard lug, then soldered it to the trigger guard about 5/8" back of the existing one. Sawed off the old one now it doesn't interfere with my rammer.

Never thought of that but I have folded up sheet brass to make a front sight.  Worked well.
The price of eggs got so darn high, I bought chickens......
