Shown here is an unusual presentation gun made by Jacob Fordney, brother of Melchoir. The gun demonstrates unigely stylized "furniture" done in sterling silver with characteristic high quality Fordney family engraving. The gun , made for W.Cooper ( 1856) and was presented by him to his son, "J.W.Cooper" in 1866 as written on the engraved part. Anyone knowing who the Coopers might have been please respond.
