Delivered the GA Farmer's gun yesterday
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:14:24 AM »
I took the gun which was a gift, down to my friend in Laurens Co. GA Saturday.  He fired the first shot offhand at an X at 25 yards with a patched round ball ... remember... no rear sight, just the V in the standing breech tang.

First shot dead center in the X! second shot touching it!!  He loved the way the gun came up and held steady and the way the coin silver barleycorn sight caught his eye!!

I have to tell you it was a very gratifying and humbling experience. Thanks for all your help in making this a grat experience for him!!

Well done.  You're a "keeper" as my wife would say.

Tim,

That's a great looking rifle.  It's clear there were many hours of fine craftsmanship spent building it.  Gifts with so much personal investment are the best.  Well done.
