Great improvment now you need to throw away the lock and get a good one.

C'mon. Think of the relationship here! What kid wouldn't be pleased pink to get such a gun presented to him at deer camp? Think back to YOUR first gun. I'd surely love to be a fly on the wall (tent) when he first sees that new rifle. Anyone going to be there with a camera for the presentation? I wanna see it!

I got to agree with Kermit.  My sentiments exactly.   ;D

Absolutely beautiful work! I really like the stain color too.

Hats off to a real craftsman who can turn a rifle that is plain as wagon tongue into a work that delights the eye. Who cares if it "is still just a CVA"? It is a CVA that is unlike any other and is a thing of beauty to boot.

I'm just saying the tumblers are soft and so is the sear I see plenty in my shop. That could cause problems down the road. As far as the craftman ship my hat's off to you. Just keep an eye on that for safety. Didn't mean to sound prickly

WOW!  That's inspirational!  I've got one of those kits in flint and might have to try what you've done!
