Cased pistol
« on: January 29, 2012, 03:24:45 AM »
 Hi all,

I just finished up this project this past Thursday, and it goes to it's new home Sunday after church. I thought I'd share it with everyone......Thanks....Dan

The pistol is based on Wm. Henry's "Nazareth", trimmed in sterling silver and stocked in Ohio walnut. The cleaning rod and patch box are cocobola. The turnscrew is O-1 steel and handled in ivory. The oil vessel is brass, and the powder flask is brass on copper, and throws 25 grains. The case is quartered oak, lined in English baize wool, and everything is fit in the Frensh fashion. It took me 200 hours for this work, but it doesn't seem like work when you love what you do!
