Lewisburg Show
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:41:52 PM »
A friend and I delivered some stock blanks/barrels to Mark Weader's shop Thursday and attended the Lewisburg PA show Friday morning. I saw many old friends and met several ALR members that I had never met face to face. The show was great even though it was crowded. Well worth the time to attend if you are able to get there. I hope someone will post some photos, I forgot to take my camera.

It looks like Bill Daniels has received lots of donations of parts and dollars that will be used to build rifles for the Wounded Warrior project he is involved in. If any of you have not read about the project you might take a look at it here: http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=20232.15

I hope Ed Wenger doesn't mind me telling that he volunteered to build a rifle for the Wounded Warrior project. That will give Wounded Warriors 3 flintlock rifles for the 2012 hunting season. Thanks to all the ALR members that donated to this great project.

I saw and handled the ALR/CLA auction rifle that Mitch Yates has been posting ( http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=20144.30 ) about. Its going to be a great looking rifle, can't wait to see how it looks after Acer does the engraving.

The ALR is a great bunch of people, lots of talent too.  Proud to be a part of it.  The Wounded Warrior project is a great example.

I didn't have any of the parts Bill needed, but decided to seek him out and made a cash donation for incidentals that will be needed.  Its a great cause.

Yeah, the show was busy, but the weather was cooperating.  I met some ALR folks there, saw some familiar faces from KRA and Bushy Run, and talked to lots of like minded folks.  It was a good time.
