I am looking for information about a Pennsylvania gun maker; J. G. Alewack from Lebanon, PA. , from 1850 to 1870. I saw an over under percussion muzzleloader that has the above name an state on the barrel.

Try the Lebanon Historical Society. They aren't always open but their answering machine probably will tell you when someone is there. If anyone has the information you seek it will be them. At least you will have a starting point which will lead you to church, school, and city directory records available. You'll be amazed at what you can recover with a little extra effort. The LHS may also have a historian who will do the research for you, but at a fee or suggested donation.  Good luck,  HIB
