Found the following and thought it was interesting enough to share with those of you who have interest in East Tennessee Rifles and their makers.

A-370 WILLIAM T. ENSOR Sr: 4 Dec 1847; low state of health; wife Martha; her own daus; a horse beast to Sarah HONEYCUT and Martha BUCKINGHAM as all the other children got a horse beast and, it is my desire that each of these beloved daughters be made equal with the balance of the chn; Wm. B. ENSOR. Jr. to have land known as Barance tract lying on the stage road from Jonesborough to Blountsville;
Thos. P. ENSOR to have land where I now live joining William HAIL and Edmund HODGES; my grson George W. ENSOR to have an equal share. With Wm. BEEDLE's (BUDLE's) chn as I have raised him from 6 weeks old to the present time… also one rifle gun which I have just had stocked and a new gun lock done by Mr. GROOP (GROOSS) a gunsmith of Sullivan Co. Ex: son Thos. P. ENSOR /s/ William T. ENSOR. Sr. Wit: Hiram D. HALE. Esq,. William HALE, Proved April term 1847 by both witnesses.

How interesting that he was so proud of his rifle that he mentions the gunsmith in his will.
