COOL!!

I'm wanting to make an iron guard this summer. Hope it comes out as nice as yours did. Are the two pieces welded or rivited together?

Nice work Colin - I like it. 

Did you make the box from scratch or cut down one of the kits?.  It is nice to see one of these boxes that is sized correctly for the buttstock and shaped nicely - the "kit" that is sold for this type of box is way too big.  When proportioned right, like this one, they look cool.

Nice rifle.  Make some more - love to see iron stuff.

Trigger guard is riveted and forge welded. The patch box was made from scratch, as was every other part except lock, barrel, screws and touch hole liner
