Would $250 be a good price for an original 1853 musket rifle .577 cal thats been sitting in a armoury for 140+++ yrs?

If the gun is Nepalese, the price is fair. If the gun is British, prices would run from $500 - $1000 depending on condition. One in good condition would run at least $1200 but only if British

Yes,
The enfields are from Nepal, they can be found on atlantacutlery.com

Lurch, the price is reasonable and, all things considered, some people have gotten reasonably good pieces from this deal. Check the "British Flint and Percussion Arms" forum at "British Militaria Forums" at:

There are several threads describing different folks experiences with the Nepalese P53 rifle muskets.
