Comments:

John Vincent rifles stand out in a crowd and are usually identifiable without seeing the signature. Look alike pieces are often ascribed to him, (or Caleb), even though they may have been made by someone else. For John's rifles, the side plate and the full patchbox are pretty much signature features. Only once in a great while did he made a full stocked gun and the half stock configuration is almost a Vincent feature in addition to the above mentioned. This is a fine gun, in very good condition, and stands as a splendid example of what a 'John Vincent Rifle' is.
