My Early Schroyer inspired rifle.

This has  been done for a couple of weeks, I finally got round to taking pictures. This my version of the early Schroyer that was done by Bill Shipman a while back, I had already ordered parts for this rifle when his posted. I hope it passes muster. Thanks.

Wow, that looks very nicely executed indeed.  And I bet it's a great handling gun as well.  Super job on the patchbox etc.  There are a couple of things I'd have done differently but that doesn't mean that yours isn't right.  The comb line (edge between side and top of comb) seems to break or dip toward the nose of the comb a bit- is that intentional?

Thanks Rich. I intentionally rounded the comb slightly. Perhaps I should have followed the contour from the bplate and left a slightly harder edge there, but it wasn't something I noticed in my reference book. Photos can be so deceptive at times.

Looks very nice, Micah - well done. Had Rich not mentioned the comb line, I'd not have noticed, however it appears easily 'fixed' by following the line of the butt plate's top surface to the comb. I appears on my monitor to be a slight hump just ahead of the plate's front edge. Might just be my monitor.  Like I said, it looks good to me.

Mike, One thing I will mention is that your cheek piece looks ( from the light reflection ) sort of flat and maybe somewhat convex from the comb to molded edge. This area on RCA 95 , and most other rifles is somewhat concave.. Because of this your cheekpiece looks at bit heavy to me. I would have liked to see your comb come to a slimmer point which would have made dishing out the cheekpiece easier. This would have given that area of your rifle a slimmer more defined look. Maybe a little less thick.

All that aside,  your rifle displays obvious attention to detail and fine workmanship.
