Finished a blanket gun today

An order came in for a blanket gun, and I was the lucky one who got to put it together. The customer wanted it Indian funky, so I had fun making it so.

Oh man, very cool!

What are the details on it?


I was surprised to see in the book on trade guns from the Fur Trade Meuseum, how frequent it was that the indians would intentionally break off the head of the serpant on the side plate.

It's a standard offering from North Star West. This one is a 20 bore. I can't really tell you the barrel length , I didn't measure it!

20 gage, 14" barrel.  LOP is 9 1/2"  (if you can call that a length of pull) 

I have one that hangs on the wall in the kitchen.  We've shot it a few times.  It's a .. what do you call it? ..a primitive street sweeper.  It'll really raise some H377 with a dozen 00 buckshot.
