refresh barrel ?????
« on: July 09, 2012, 10:23:14 PM »
A few months ago I bought a gun here. It was said to be a Ravenshear gun. When I got it the barrel
was a mess inside. I have worked and worked on it. lots of rust and what seems to be rifling messed up.
Pits and or build up I can't remove. I paid 1400 for it and feel I was taken by the seller. What can I do to
rework this barrel,  or just eat it ??

Thank you,

Daniel

Bob Hoyt refreshes, re-rifles barrels. Fairfield Station, PA. Good man to work with.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

I took the gun apart and it is a Ravenshear piece. The lock looks
like it was made by him.  Bob Hoyt said he could help.

thanks again

Don,
this is a beautiful gun. It will be better when I get the barrel reworked.
I had a doglock that Kit made for me. Needed money sold it and within
a short time after he past.
